Schools For Good
Cambridge International School is committed to community service. The school is a center of dedicated action for the good of people. We work together with many great organisations to improve the life conditions of people. We also have many unique programs of which our school students and teachers are an integral part.
Social Integration
CIS is playing an important role in bridging the gap between the classroom and the society. Students are engaged in many social activities to inculcate the values of belongingness, humaneness, empathy and compassion in them.We have been working very closely with local NGOs such as GOONJ to help the people in need.
The Walk of Hope, a padayatra for peace and harmony by the Manav Ekta Mission – covering 7500 kms from Kanyakumari to Kashmir. Led by Sri M, founder of Manav Ekta Mission, to restore the innate spirituality of the nation – to rekindle true faith and rejuvenate the spirit of hope, love, peace, harmony and oneness. The hope is to erase disparities arising from a misunderstanding of our diverse culture and religions, thus uniting the humanity of India through a spiritual approach, proving, people can live together despite all differences. It left an ever lasting impression on the minds of young cambridgians. My Tree , Rice bucket challenge, charity campaigns for people fighting with natural calamities are some of the many endeavours made by CIS to make our students better citizens of tomorrow. Also, inclusion of learners with special needs to the mainstream is an undertaking to make them active members of society.
The students are sensitized towards the present day burning issues when they do multi-disciplinary projects like- ‘The pure water of Ganga -the purifier and cleanser of the mountains of sins at the mercy of man’, ‘You can’t stop the waves but you can learn to surf’(Nepal Earthquake Disaster and its after effects) and ‘We never know the value of water till the well is dry’ in their curriculum. They, from a very tender age are exposed to and associated with the noble deeds of charity and would also take part in the Walk of Hope. Activities are designed around festivals and special events for the children of all age groups. These help children to understand our culture and its importance.
