Library

At School Library, we strive to create a learning environment that empowers the students to connect with, engage with and utilize this information in meaningful and purposeful ways.
Fundamental to this learning environment is the development of a school wise information services where learners have opportunities to access multiple sources and forms of information and the appropriate technologies to do so. We have developed strong library and information services which are essential to a learning program that values the cognitive, cultural, social, affective, technological & spiritual development of students. Our Library also has internet based facility for searching the books.
Students are welcomed during the time allotted to each class and are also encouraged to come during the break time. Our school library is a learning resource centre as it houses informational resources- the expensive reading material. Library is well stocked with a wide collection of books and CDs on a variety of subjects. It also provides teachers with instructional material and professional resources, curriculums and reference books.
‘Scholastic Book Fair’ adds to the grace of our library and gives ample opportunity to the students to enhance their interest and knowledge.
Our Labs
Cambridge School provides a first hand experience in all practical subjects. All the labs in the school are well equipped with latest apparatus, techniques and instruments.
Biology Lab
The Biology lab is well equipped to perform experiments from class IV to XII according to the CBSE guidelines and can accommodate 30 children per batch. It has the facilities to perform high level projects. It has a unique collection of charts, models, slides and specimens to cater to the needs of the syllabus of each class.
Chemistry Lab
“Learning by doing” is the motto of teaching at Cambridge; and Science is a subject of observations, analysis and conclusions. Chemistry lab in CIS,Cambridge International School CO-ED, Jalandhar is a site for experiments and observations. It is an ultimate place; well equipped with all the chemicals , gas connection and water distillation plant. The chemicals used for experiments are of world class standard. It is fully air-conditioned to give students a comfortable stay at the laboratory.
Physics Lab
In the framework of teaching the natural sciences, ‘lab’ is a general name for activities based on observation, tests and experiments done by students. It is hard to imagine learning Physics without doing lab work. The usefulness & effectiveness of the lab has been integral in teaching Physics. Therefore, lab programs have been designed with the following fundamental goals in mind: Students learn the art of experimentation, experimental and analytical skills, conceptual learning and developing collaborative learning skills. To satisfy the above, we have a well-designed Physics lab with the necessary apparatus & equipment.
Mathematics Lab
Mathematics is all around us. It cannot be learnt but it has to be experienced and understood. We at Cambridge International School, CO-ED put our best efforts in helping students to understand the concepts with the help of equipments available in maths lab. We use concrete material so as to gain hands-on experience to develop motor skills of our students. We have different equipments which cater to the needs of students with different abilities. Geometrical concepts are taught using mathematical equipment and smart board. The purpose of the lab is to provide an atmosphere for the students to explore, observe, think logically and visualize Maths which will strengthen their mathematical skills.
ICT Lab
Fully networked and equipped with latest computers. Modern IT applications with interactive tools support the curriculum being followed in the school. The school has two fully equipped computer labs for its students. Drill and practice, individual and peer project-work, assessments are few of the practices followed at Cambridge.
Sports
The development of mind and body go hand-in-hand. In short, physical education plays a vital role in creating well-rounded, confident individuals. Sports are an integral part of our education system.
To make them good at their respective sport, Cambridge International School, Co-ed has expert coaches and trainers who impart invaluable tips to children to hone their skills. School has a huge sports ground, an athletic track, basketball court that reflects our seriousness towards sports. We have world class facilities for cricket, volleyball, table tennis, throw ball, and basketball.
Music and Dance
Indian classical & folk dance, western music and dance, instrumental music and singing are offered to students to develop their skills and musical appreciation. Each child takes part in at least one activity at the annual cultural event to develop stage confidence.
In an effort to make our students ‘complete Artists’ with discipline and dedication, we have three well-equipped separate rooms for Dance, Music Vocal and music Instrumental.
Rooms have all the necessary resources like Indian and western instruments, sound system, computer system with internet facility. Students are taught how to use software and advance technology to bring innovation in their musical compositions.
Art and Craft
Cambridge International School has a very well-equipped Art & Craft room. Children enjoy hobby classes of, various kinds of painting, paper Mache, pot making, decorative articles, Sketching, Warli art and even at our important events, students exhibit their paintings and decorative skills.

Art Room is a divine place where you can imagine shades of all dreams in abundance, where you can express your feelings with the help of representational colours. The walls of this functional room display the glowing dreams shining in the eyes of our children and give them an opportunity to represent their creativity and novelty which makes the on lookers spellbound. Our art room is also fully equipped with colours, brushes, easel stands and all required materials.
Health Care Centre
Furnished with two beds and a full time qualified nurse, Health Care Centre of the school is always ready to render services to children who may require first aid during school hours. Trained personnel administer emergencies as and when they arise in school and make appropriate arrangements for the sick.
Safe Transport
The school runs a large fleet of self-owned buses. Each school bus follows standard safety guidelines as they are properly equipped with speed governors, surveillance cameras and GPRS systems along with trained staff i.e. a driver, an assistant and a female attendant. Each bus is provided with a mobile phone which serves the purpose of constant contact with school authorities and parents as and when required.
Security Infrastructure
For the safety and security of the students, the school gates are manned 24 hours. Furthermore female and male guards are deployed round the clock. Self going students are not allowed to leave the school without valid gate pass and even the parents are issued with Parent Identity Card which they have to show to the school authority before taking their wards. A student boards/gets off the school bus only at specific stop mentioned by the parents. This ensures the safety of the students. Visitors are not allowed to enter in the school premises without valid permission from the school authorities. As mandated by Indian law, the school has relevant CCTV cameras installed.
