Cleanliness Pledge Reiterated By Cambridge Family

“Cleanliness and order are not matters of instinct; they are matters of education, and like most great things, you must cultivate a taste for them.”

Swachh Bharat Mission was launched throughout length and breadth of the country as a National Movement on 2nd October 2014. The campaign aims to achieve the vision of ‘Clean India’ by 2nd October 2019. Cambridge International School, Jalandhar arranged a special assembly on August 30, 2019 to motivate the students to accomplish the vision of clean and unsullied surroundings. The chief guest of the day was Ms Aashika Jain, the youngest IAS officer. The youth icon inspired the students to take initiative for making India a cleaner place and motivated them to come forward and spread awareness regarding segregation of waste and creating compost bins. Dignitaries from Municipal Corporation also enlightened the students regarding waste management. The students also had an inspiring as well as entertaining interaction with ‘Cleanliness Ambassadors’ from Radio City ‘Mr Bin’ who spread the message of segregating wet, dry and dangerous waste into bins of different colors by singing a rap song regarding the same. The Cambridge family reiterated its pledge to commit themselves to the service of the nation by keeping their surroundings clean and hygienic.
